Maintenance Support Person

Forming part of our Facilities Team, this full-time post will undertake general maintenance tasks across all three of Camphill School Aberdeen’s estates.  The successful applicant will work both autonomously and as part of the team in the knowledge that there will be direct contact with the children and young people in our care.

Typical tasks within the remit of this post are:

• General maintenance and repair tasks
• Various testing, including water testing, PAT testing
• As required, working alongside other team members on two-man jobs

Applicants will; be expected to have some relevant experience and have an awareness of health and safety regulations.

Day Services Manager


Camphill School Aberdeen is an independent charity offering education, care and therapy services for children and young people with additional support needs on a day and residential basis.
We are looking to recruit a suitably experienced individual to manage the delivery of our Learning for Life day services in an efficient and effective manner in order to:


• Enhance the potential of residents and day pupils attending workshops and working in the farm and gardens and improve outcomes for all individuals attending day services
• To grow the service in accordance with Camphill School recommendations


The Day Services consist of the following workshops: woodwork, light metalwork/jewellery, pottery, candle making, kitchen, craft, weaving, felting, laundry, bike workshop and FRUVER which is a service running the operation of a small Organic Trading point/Organic Store catering at Camphill School for over 30 young people with additional support needs.


Candidates will be expected to have a relevant qualification or be working towards it, have had responsibility for managing staff and have previous experience of working with people with additional support needs.
The post will require a flexible approach to work in order to cover the needs of the service. An attractive remuneration package will be provided to the successful candidate.

Recruitment Administrator

We have an opportunity for someone to join our HR team in providing a comprehensive recruitment  service and are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational, administration and IT skills.
This post will essentially co-ordinate the recruitment and application process with volunteers, day and student placements. This will include responding to all enquiries, carrying out all employment checks, vetting procedures and immigration status checks in accordance with legal requirements.
As the first point of contact for our volunteers you will provide a professional focussed approach in dealing with any enquiries. You will also be expected to carry out Skype interviews with potential volunteers and should therefore have good interpersonal skills. You will be required to liaise with other sections regarding placements and associated needs of volunteers.
Strong attention to detail is required and knowledge of the PVG process and immigration requirements would be advantageous.

Painter


Painter required to undertake interior and exterior works on commercial, domestic and other buildings.
Applicants should have:
• Proven experience as a painter
• Knowledge of materials, selecting, mixing and applying
• Good knowledge of commercial/domestic painting
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools
Applicants will be expected to be proactive, able to work effectively and efficiently on their own.
Be able to plan, prepare and carry out work including calculating resources required.
