The following is an example of the programme a new co-worker would be expected to attend. Depending on circumstances at the time, it may be necessary to run this programme over 5 days. The elements listed here would be the minimum included in the programme.

Day 1

09.00 – 09.15 Registration
09.15 – 10.15 Introductory Talk
10.15 – 10.30 Break
10.30 – 12.30 Ice Breakers
12.30 – 13.00 Lunch
13.00 – 14.50 Introduction to House & School Life/Child Protection
14.50 – 15.10 Break
15.10 – 17.00 Child Protection/Introduction to House & School Life

Day 2

09.00 – 13.00 BSS (Behavioural Support Strategies)
13.00 – 14.00 Lunch
14.00 – 15.00 Introduction to Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Health & Safety Briefing
15.00 – 16.00 Health & Safety Briefing/Introduction to Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Day 3

09.00 – 13.00 First Aid
13.00 – 13.30 Lunch
13.30 – 17.30 Moving and Handling

Day 4

09.30 – 10.00 Introduction to Foundation Process
10.00 – 10.15 Riding School Health & Safety Briefing
10.15 – 10.30 Break
10.30 – 11.30 Introduction to Therapy
11.30 – 12.30 Support and Supervision
12.30 – 13.30 Lunch
13.30 – 14.30 Tour of Murtle Estate or Swimming Pool Tour (2 groups)
14.30 – 15.30 Tour of Murtle Estate or Swimming Pool Tour (2 groups)
15.30 Finish.
